Springing from the compelling exhibitions The Devil is in the Detail: Dürer's Great Passion and Early Woodcuts from the Schroder Collection and There Goes the Sun currently on display at Strawberry Hill House (Twickenham, London) until 10 April 2024, and featuring the complete set of Dürer's Great Passion alongside the work of contemporary artist Christiane Baumgartner, this talk will guide you through a unique exploration of the art of relief printmaking across time.
Speakers will include Caterina Badan (Schroder Collection), Jonathan Watkins (curator of There Goes the Sun) and Christiane Baumgartner.
The panel will be chaired and moderated by artist, printmaker, Royal Academician, Anne Desmet.

In conjunction with the exhibition Jean-Marie Toulgouat: Gardening Giverny at the Garden Museum (13 March-24 April 2024), London Art Week is hosting a celebratory talk on the oeuvre and central contribution of the grandson of Monet, Jean-Marie Toulgouat, on the occasion of his new exhibition at David Messum Fine Art opening in March 2024.
Join our experts, David Messum (David Messum Fine Art) and Emma House (Garden Museum), to learn more about the artist's fascinating life, the influence of Giverny and how other historical gardens have influenced artists.

The Art of Friendship: Sir John Soane and JMW Turner
Sir John Soane and JMW Turner were idiosyncratic and unique talents, creating works that, to this day, inspire pleasure and wonder. Although a generation apart, they formed a firm friendship.
Dr. Matthew Morgan (Turner's House, Twickenham) and Clare Gough (Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery) will explore the intertwined history of two important artist residences and the influence the two friends had on each other.
