This webinar, moderated by Tova Ossad (Ossad Art Management), will explore with our panel of specialists, Marco Frulio (Gianni & Origoni), Simon Wilson (Art Logistics) and Tom Noon (arcarta) the implications of VAT, customs practices and transport interests as well as anti-money laundering regulations for EU based art dealers and gallerists engaging with the UK market. Tova Ossad
Ossad Art Management

Tova Ossad established Ossad Art Management in 2019, recognising a need for quality advice on high-value art transports, efficient registrar practices, Brexit preparation, collection management and advice with appropriate documentation for art collectors and businesses.  Tova holds a Masters from The Courtauld Institute of Art and, prior to launching OAM, she worked for renowned art galleries, Richard L. Feigen & Co. in New York and Moretti Fine Art in London.  She is also a visiting lecturer at the Sotheby's Institute of Art, a member of the Institute of Export, a Recommended Service Provider for the British Antique Dealers' Association, and an Industry Partner of the British Institute of Interior Design.

 

 

 

 

Marco Frulio
Indirect tax specialist, Gianni & Origoni

Marco Frulio has considerable experience in Value Added Tax, Customs and Excise duties issues involving several cross-border transactions for multinational clients operating in various industries including real estate, finance, art-work, hi-tech, aerospace, defence and e-commerce. He assists his clients with Italian Tax Authorities and Tax Courts in terms of pre-litigation and litigation proceedings. He graduated in Economics and went on to obtain a LL.M in Tax Law in 1997. A qualified Chartered Accountant and Auditor, he is a member of the international tax commission of the Association of Chartered Accountants in Milan and since 2013 represents Italy as a permanent member of a panel of independent European law firms in the field of indirect taxation.

 

 

 

Simon Wilson
European Road Freight Manager, Art Logistics Ltd

Simon Wilson was first employed by Martinspeed in 1992 as a technician and European driver. Promoted to European Road Freight Manager, Simon was responsible for the Department arranging the European Road freight from exhibitions and Art Fairs to Museum, consolidated and dedicated truck deliveries. He gained extensive knowledge of export and import formalities throughout Europe and built up a working relationship with a  network of overseas agents specializing in the movement of art and antiques. Simon moved to Art Logistics Ltd in January 2021 as European Road Freight Manager, His tenacity, calmness and keenness to understand the Post-Brexit world allows Art Logistics to assist the UK Art Market with an informed but seamless Post-Brexit European Delivery service.

 

 

 

 

Tom Noon
Co-Founder and CEO, arcarta
