Founded in 1988 by José Alavedra and Marc Comerma, Galeria Bernat specializes in Medieval and Renaissance art. Research into and classification of artworks are the gallery's priorities, and with the assistance of top experts, we have selected and catalogued works that now figure in some of the most important public and private collections. We have made sales, among others, to the following museums: Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid (central painting of an altarpiece from Barcelona Cathedral); Museo Arqueológico Nacional, Madrid; Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC), Barcelona, (Pere Oller, reliefs of two apostles); Museu de Lleida, Lleida (Altarpiece of Saint Bartholomew, Saint Michael Archangel and Saint Lucy c. 1490 - 95 from the church of Sant Martí de Capella, Spain).
