About
Colnaghi Elliott Master Drawings is a recently established partnership between Colnaghi and Elliott Fine Art, combining Colnaghi's venerable tradition of handling the most art historically significant works on paper and Elliott Fine Art's focus in bringing to the fore fascinating and important works by lesser-known figures. Colnaghi Elliott will undertake multiple shows a year, showing diverse artists from across the centuries.
Exhibition
Drawn to the 19th Century
Colnaghi Elliott Master Drawings is delighted to present an exhibition of works on paper spanning the 19th century. From Academic works by Charles Verlat and Leopold Carl Müller, to recent rediscoveries such as the portrait of Aline Masson by Madeleine Lemaire, our exhibition will explore the art of drawing and watercolour throughout the century. The works will be displayed in parallel with our exhibition ‘Sorolla: A Celebration of Life', featuring 12 exceptional painting by Joaquín Sorolla.
