Charles Beddington Ltd, established in 1998, is a dealer and agent in Old Master Paintings, based in Mayfair, London. The gallery offers paintings from a broad range of periods and schools, with a leaning towards the 18th century.
Charles Beddington was at Christie's between 1983 and 1998, ultimately as head of the London Old Master Picture Department, and is well respected for his role as the pre-eminent scholar of Venetian view painting, and Canaletto in particular. The gallery is known for its strong academic background and for offering paintings that are either rediscoveries or fresh to the market.
